PATIENT TRUST ACCOUNTS

We understand that one of the difficulties for our long-term residents is the feeling of the loss of independence. It is for this reason that we do everything within our power to help residents maintain control of their situations as much as possible. Our Patient Trust Accounts help many residents feel some peace of mind about their new living situation.

Patient Trust Accounts may be established by a resident or their family member upon admission or anytime during their stay. These accounts are interest-bearing and provide access to funds as appropriate. Statements for the accounts are distributed quarterly to residents and/or family members and detail the account balance and activity. Social Security funds may be placed directly into the accounts and family members may add funds at their discretion.

Money in these accounts may be used for purchases at the ERCC Gift Shop, for Beauty and Barber Services, or to allow a staff member to fulfill requests for items from a local store. These accounts provide residents with a secure manner in which to purchase incidentals without keeping large amounts of cash on hand.
