Social Services

Social Services begin its involvement with residents prior to admission by helping to determine if individuals can be appropriately served at Elkins Regional Convalescent Center.

Following admission, Social Services will continue to assist residents to achieve the highest levels of cognitive , psychosocial, attitudinal, and behavioral well-being.

Social Services provides counseling, education, and support to residents and their families dealing with the issues of aging, illness, death and injury.

When discharge is imminent, Social Services will assist in arranging follow-up care. Social Services also work in collaboration with Hospice services.

ERCC'S social services program will assist residents' families in completing or changing their Advanced Directives.
