SPECIAL CARE

SPECIAL CARE AT ERCC

At ERCC, we want to ensure that your loved one receives the complete care they need. We are always looking for those special touches that will take their care to the next level. This includes planning future expansions in both our facilities and services to improve and grow the care provided. Below are the different types of care provided at ERCC now and what we hope to add in the future.

Hospice Care

Hospice Care is designed to provide emotional support and medical care to those that are in the last stages of their lives. The focus for hospice care is to ensure that the quality of life remains while active treatment may no longer be provided. If it becomes necessary, ERCC social workers will work with the hospice agency of your choosing to provide appropriate care for your loved ones.

Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center works with Mountain Hospice and WV Caring (formerly Hospice Care Corporation), and West Virginia Hospice to provide hospice care at our facility.

Respite Care

Respite Care is offered at our facility and is designed to provide 24-hour nursing supervision and care to the in-home patient. This program gives the caregiver, who is normally a family member, a much-needed rest by allowing the patient to come to our facility for a brief stay. Respite Care works in unison with Hospice to provide the best possible care to the patient and their family.

The program features:

  • 24-hour Nursing Supervision and Care
  • Rehabilitation and Specialized Services
  • Unique Activities and Programming
  • Safe and Nurturing Environment
  • Medication Management
  • Maximum 5-day Stay

Adult Day Care

We are actively working to develop an Adult Day Care Program for our community.
